Where/how to get started with Composer Pro?
I had a dealer install and configure my Control4 system initially. However, that dealer has been excessively absent over the past year as I'm trying to make some changes (moving from Rogers TV to Bell Fibe TV, changing the IP addresses of my entire network (again, due to Bell), some lights that never got programmed, some switches that I want to tweak).
I have installed Composer Pro, got logged in, have my system configuration. But before I get started, I want to be sure that I understand key workflows and "best practices". I suspect what I'm trying to do is nothing radical or new. So I'd appreciate any pointers to docs/videos/tutorials to instill confidence in the work I'm about to do.
Specifically, questions I have are:
- backing up/version control of my system configuration, and how to restore if I mess something up
- understanding the basic configuration concepts: System Design, Connections, Programming, etc.
- configuring (programming?) the 6-button switches to control light zones(?)
- working with an IR setup for a new system (moving to Bell Fibe, off Rogers)
- connecting new devices: Hunter-Douglas PowerView blinds, Amazon Echo (or Google or whatever)
- when/why/how to upgrade system software (I'm currently on 2.9.x)
